HISTORY
In 2006, Frost Roofing, Inc. ventures out on its
own with James L. Smithey as President and sole owner.
With the roofing industry flourishing and a fourth
generation Frost working his way up the corporate ladder,
James J. Smithey takes the reigns as Vice President
of Frost Roofing, Inc.
Together father and son continue the rich legacy
of serving their communities as a quality roofing contractor
that was started back in 1928. As third generation,
James L. Smithey has been running Frost Roofing since
1971 when the trade was passed from his Father-in-Law,
Darwin Frost.
Darwin and his brother, Dale were 2nd generation
Frost. They moved their company to the community
of Wapakoneta,
from Delphos, to settle and raise their families.
The company flourished in the brothers’ reign. They
incorporated the company in 1946. Their reputation
of a quality contractor did not waiver. It provided
the opportunity towards expansion and growth in the
communities. With Dale’s untimely death in
1964, Darwin continued the business for the future
generations.
The vision of R.J. Frost back in 1928, during the
time of the depression, was passed down thru all
generations.
Quality craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, hard
work, and pride in a job well done is the legacy
of R.J. Frost and continues at Frost Roofing, Inc.
